Benjamin Grieco

Ben Grieco is currently a college freshman hoping to catch his dreams of being a Sports Journalist one day. He is known to be passionate about his writing, and journalism. He wants to carry everyone with him, not leave others in the dust. As a senior in high school, not many would go above and beyond to attempt to achieve their dreams and goals. Ben is an initiative taker and does not wait for the opportunity to be handed to him. His dreams of becoming a writer started out during his freshman year of high school when his School Newspaper adviser told him to check out the extra-curricular activity - and so he did. Little did he know, this writing thing would give him some of the coolest opportunities of his life, and some of which are still yet to come. Flash forward some time, and Ben has come across some cool opportunities, that not many high school students would be able to do. He was able to sit at the press table for a Syracuse Orange Women's Basketball Game, next to professional journalists. He was able to attend the New York State, Section III Class C Girls Basketball final at the press table. Finally, he was able to sit with the radio broadcaster of the Syracuse Crunch for a hockey game. Ben cannot wait for the future that lies ahead. Not only working with his school's news website, Ben has written for some professional sports websites that have given him real-world experience - something he could never pay back to the owners that brought such a young writer on.
