Brett Eisenhauer
I graduated from University of Mississippi in 2009, having teetered between a degree in engineering and a degree in economics but ending up with the later. My true drive is as an engineer. Unfortunately, this took several years in administrative jobs to realize. Specifically, I first thought of myself as an engineer while employed as a contracted civilian serving in Iraq in 2009-2010. Working as a media analyst, I became consumed with a flood of information and data on the country's broken utilities infrastructure, I pictured becoming a Civil Engineer and devoting my career to the development and maturation of third-world countries.
However, I still didnt consider a complete career change, deciding instead to apply my economics degree towards another passion in my life, music. Impressed by how globalized the world has become, especially in the entertainment world, I knew I wanted to put myself in the biggest market for music. This led me to Los Angeles and an amazing opportunity to work for one of the biggest talent agencies in the music industry. Still, after managing and routing nation-wide concert tours, I wasnt able to shake the idea that I am an engineer at my core; that I want to build, solve problems and create projects.
