Bridget Monaghan

Since August 2009, I have been utilizing my communications degree from Pennsylvania State University and my mortuary science degree from American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service as a full-time funeral director for my family's business - The Oliver H. Bair Co. & Monaghan Funeral Home. We own and operate two cemeteries, two funeral homes and a monument company in the Greater Philadelphia region. In addition to promoting our family-owned company through various marketing efforts, I am a licensed life insurance agent and able to consult and sell life insurance policies to clients who are interested in pre-planning and pre-funding their funerals. I completed my certification in mortuary science at American Academy McCallister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, NY and passed the National and Pennsylvania State Board Exams. I became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in June 2012 after training underneath my father who has been a funeral director for the past 38 years. My ultimate professional goal is to become an attorney in the funeral business while continuing to help run my family's business in Philadelphia. I currently attend a part-time Juris Doctorate program at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE. I anticipate completion of my program in December 2014.
