Brya Johnson

Majored in Gender And Women's Studies, Minored in Africana Studies
Knox College, Class of 2016
From Saint Louis, MO
Equity. Community. Sisterhood. These concepts led me to enrolling in the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. My passion for the elimination of racism and comprehensive reproductive rights for all people continues to spark my interest in political advocacy and community engagement. Throughout the past few years, I have worked in various sectors from child care to non-profits to political advocacy coalitions. My work allows me to gain experience with grant-writing, program design/implementation, managing people and volunteers, and canvassing. As I continue to gain these necessary skills, I hope to join into network of community organizers within the St. Louis area.
