-Co-Chaired RFID committee tasked with finding a real time location solution for tracking equipment, patients and employees. Involved technology review, site-visits, proof of concept comparisons and pilots as well as contract negotiation. -Coordinated and tactically implemented new clinical building (NCB) process for major equipment need submittal, evaluation, life cycle management review, and purchase. -Successfully implemented technology solutions and asset management finance program , “Life-Cycle-Management” for the Johns Hopkins Health System. This resulted in the “Use vs Ownership” approach where the strategic need for an asset and the means to acquire the asset are evaluated separately. The focus is the Technology, life-cycle-management and obsolescence risk of the medical equipment. Developed technology and condition assessment tools to assist with inventory management and equipment replacement -Alternative financing evaluation to assist with the alignment of technology needs, strategic vision and financial objectives -Manage the financial contract review and contract negotiations process for the Johns Hopkins Health System. Implemented systems and policies to enhance communication between campus entities. -Implemented financial policy changes that that directly saved $5.2 million in FY 2012, and in excess of $11 million since the policies were implemented and negotiated by Capital Administration -Initiated the process with print management vendor identifying issues with the leases, the lack of asset tracking, right sizing, billing and overall management of the print process. Moving this initiative forward directly led to a print management process change and over all JHHS saving projected over $3 million over the next 5-years. -Changed the capital process by initiating the establishment of a new capital budgeting software, streamlining the annual capital process for the two major JHHS hospital.
