Clara Smith

I have a strong career interest in politics, media and the myriad challenges AI is bringing to our global society. I am focusing a portion of my studies specifically toward an examination of the downstream consequences (such as political disengagement & escapism) of information bombardment. An important part of my background as a wilderness guide is merging very diverse individuals into 'families' and ensuring them a safe, fun and fulfilling adventure together. As a result, I have developed strong communication skills, am comfortable around all types of people and can deal well with difficult personalities and fast paced environments. I am also an independent self starter and very attuned to details. Obviously, I have a passion for nature but I am also an avid news junkie who's been glued to Rachel Maddow and Fareed Zakaria since childhood.
