As a child of immigrant parents from Iraq, I've has always been interested in and dedicated to working with that region of the world. Growing up in the clash of Eastern and Western, I has been able to integrate these traditions first hand and connect them back to my studies and work. My interests include studying the culture and latent effects of war. She is particularly passionate about working with refugees. She has volunteered with many organizations here in San Diego, as well as abroad in the Netherlands and Greece.
