Dustin Frickman

I, along with my wife, Carol Frickman, founded this organization after she was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia in December of 2014. We discovered the financial burden placed on those battling cancer was tremendous and many times difficult to manage, regardless of insurance benefits. In addition, many of the charitable organizations who claim to provide financial assistance to those battling this costly disease require the individual to be between 200 and 400 percent below the national poverty line. As a police officer I was routinely told that I made too much money to qualify for assistance, yet as we all know, police officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical technicians barley make enough to survive as it is. This is where the idea was born that there needed to be an organization available to financially assist these brave and dedicated members of our communities. We serve those who serve us! The Corporation is organized for charitable purposes to provide financial assistance to law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical technicians along with their immediate families who are affected by cancer. The goal of this organization is to lesson the burden these families have when it comes to their financial well being when battling cancer. As a start up organization we are currently in the market to assist those police, fire, and EMS persons who live, work, and reside within North Carolina. As the organization grows, we hope to expand to a nationwide foundation of giving.
