Independent Student Researcher at Siena College
Conducted research in the fall 2016/spring 2017 school year with Dr. Rachel Sterne-Marr, Ph.D. at Siena College. Performed PCR and used Agilent QuikChange Site Directed Mutagenesis kit to mutate the phosphorylation site of the α2A-adrenergic receptor. 3 successful mutations (ASAS, D300A, and Y426A) were transformed into E. coli. Additionally, maintained a cell line of mammalian COS-7 cells that were transfected with mini/midi preps of these DNAs in a number of experiments.
