Grantley Showalter

I have excellent skills in research, interviewing, mediation, and group facilitation to name a few. I also have strong skills in managing detail work while collaborating with others through my work on group projects and my experience working in an office setting. I have involved myself with a number of clubs during my undergrad experience including Team Accord which helps resolve campus disputes through Restorative Justice, and Community Assistants which provide student leadership to dorm life at EMU. I also have extensive international experience including educational experiences in Indonesia, Guatemala, Cuba, and Mexico. I was employed as a Residence Assistant by EMUs graduate-level Summer Peacebuilding Institute which brings people from all over the world to Virginia to study the dynamics of conflict. I am passionate about using my skills and experiences to address great injustices in the world, social and environmental. I also enjoy the outdoors and spend much of my free time camping hiking, biking or other outdoors activities. I have picked up bike mechanics through my experiences managing a bike rental co-op.
