Establish beats and recruit current and new Cable writers to cover them. Wrote an Opinion Page policy and encouraged members of the St. Scholastica community to contribute Letters to the Editor. Edit articles for the weekly paper. In the next few months, I hope to build a sports department aimed at covering all St. Scholastica athletic teams, grow the opinion section to a two-page spread as a forum for civil discussion of St. Scholastica happenings, and create new beats. As content increases, an effort will be made to improve the writing of reporters and help them grow as journalists.

Student Journalist at The Cable
As a Student Journalist for The Cable, The College of Saint Scholastica's student-run newspaper, I write 1-2 articles per week. To write each article, I engage in observations, rigorous research, and interviews with students, faculty, and school administrators. My duties include attending weekly meetings and making deadline. Shortly after beginning at The Cable, I recognized the newspaper lacked a digital presence. To solve this issue, I offered to work as the Social Media Agent. This allowed me to create digital infrastructure for the paper and regularly update it. When I became an editor with the paper, I trained in a new Social Media Agent.
