Cashiers work in the same area of the supermarket as customer service representatives and also interact with shoppers regularly. The entry-level position involves operating scanning equipment and cash registers, processing coupons and payments, and bagging customer purchases as needed. Workers serving as cashiers also need to have knowledge of weekly advertisements and special promotions in order to answer questions properly.

The Lutz Center for Community Service, Cedar Crest College -Recruit volunteers and track student volunteer hours. -Facilitate and assess all community service programs. -Write articles for the newsletter and research community service activities for the college community. -Serve as liaison between campus organizations and the Lutz Center for Community Service. -Originate events for International Holocaust Remembrance Day and National Holocaust Remembrance Week. -Report to the Lutz Center for Community Service Volunteer Program Coordinator and complete administrative responsibilities, as assigned. -Organize and attend service events at The Neighborhood Center, Jewish Community Center, Human Rights Weeks, Box City event during Hunger and Homeless Week, and World Kindness Day.
