My name is Katie Merritt and I am a freshman at Worcester Polytechnic Institute this fall. I plan on majoring in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Biochemistry, as I look to enter the field of pharmaceutical development post graduation. In high school I was in both the National Honor Society and the National Foreign Language Honor Society and I have never missed a day of school from kindergarten to senior year. I have played soccer my whole life and plan to continue to play at the club level at WPI and I also hope to get involved in Greek life as well as other professional societies on campus.
