After discovering my passion in high school for software development, I couldnt get enough. I fit internships into my busy school schedule and during the summer, made websites for friends, and worked as a freelancer. Most importantly, I expanded my knowledge through working with others and self-teaching. Im looking forward to bringing that passion to a full-time position as a full-stack Software Engineer. I have experience with back-end development in Java and C through school work and knowledge of front-end development in JavaScript through my internship and self-learning. For the past two summers Ive interned at Inuit working on cutting edge developments, which provided me with excellent experience in problem-solving, multi-tasking, and collaborating on a large piece of software. I assisted with brainstorming new ways for innovation, managing complex projects, and programming alongside senior engineers on production code. Furthermore, colleagues know me as someone with strong interpersonal skills as I am considered eloquent, a team player, and assertive. Through my current work as an independent contractor, I effectively communicate with organizations to understand the desired work to then responsibly manage and implement the project. Ive learned that the clients wants come first and collaboration is key to successfully accomplishing a project. Coming from a philanthropic family, I am passionate about using technology to positively impact those around the world. I apply my software engineering skills to projects with nonprofits like Lift Up Africa, as well as holding a leadership position on the Micro-Finance club at my university. I want to work for a company that really values giving back to the community as well as being a leader in the industry.
