Lauren Peterka
My years at UNG have been extremely rewarding. I began as a competitive cheerleader earning three national titles with my team, joined Sigma Kappa sorority, and served as a freshman representative and newsletter editor on the Student Activities Board. I grew in leadership through the Corps of Cadets' Nursing detachment as the cadet Officer in Charge with the rank of cadet 2nd lieutenant, and lead incoming students through our orientation program for three years. I volunteer with Homestead Hospice, and enjoy honoring our veterans through this program. I plan on commissioning into the Army's Nursing Corps in August 2015.
