I am majoring in Art Education at Troy University starting Fall of 2017. As of right now, I am employed with Covington County Schools as a substitute teacher for grades K-7 and work in the Extended Day Program at W S Harlan Elementary school in Lockhart, AL. My plans for the future are to obtain a teaching degree in Art in order to assist students in finding the beauty and artistic side of everyday objects throughout their lifetime.

While attending Blackman High, I was able to enroll in honors, advanced honors, and advanced placement courses. Taking these types of classes encouraged me to better prepare myself for junior college and university studies and helped me to become a more organized individual. I became a more focused student and found that I had more of a want to pass my classes with exceptional grades than to just get by.
