LIT 510: Anne Bronte and Divine Androgyny (Victorian Lit Final Paper)
Victorian literature is one of my favorite genres. I chose to do a gender analysis of Anne Bronte's two novels; The Tennant of Wildfell Hall and Agnes Grey. Her treatment of gender is radically different from both her older, more famous sisters, Charlotte and Emily. I also delved into why Anne has been silenced and is often forgotten when discussing Victorian literature. This paper sites both bell hooks and Virginia Woolf, among other Academics. Their later work in the 20th century reflected similar themes and ideas present in Anne Bronte's novels.

LIT 652: Untangling Orientalism in Camus and Dura's works (World Lit Final paper)
One of the more difficult papers I've ever had to write (to date). I decided to focus on colonialism in 20th century French Literature using Albert Camus' The Stranger and Marguerite Duras' The Lover. The theories of Orientalism and Colonial Desire are both at play in these works, as well as the importance of the writer's class. Identity politics was a main focus for this paper and how difficult it is to apply to colonial works. This is the final I submitted to my professor in August.

LIT 530: The Gendered Body in Film: Rose in The Bonfire of Destiny
To bring in other elements of gender being portrayed in the media into discussion, Dr. Walker had us write up a response to a movie or tv show which focused on women and how they are treated in relation to their bodies. I chose to focus on Rose, a burn victim, from the French short series on Netflix, The Bonfire of Destiny. The story was based on a historic event that happened in Paris in 1897.

LIT 530: Introduction Piece for Gender and Text class
I took Gender and Text with Dr. Joseph Walker at SNHU in the March-May 2022 Session. This was my written response to his question to the class about our thoughts on gender, especially with how we identify and understand gender politics. I think this response gives a pretty clear picture of how the time, place, and culture where I grew up influenced how I think heavily.

LIT 500: As I Lay Dying Final Paper For Literary Theory
The Final for my Literary Theory class. I chose to read Faulkner's "As I Lay Dying" from a set of novels that my professor pre-selected. It was one of the only books I hadn't read yet so I wanted to work with a new text. The two theories I used to analyze Faulkner's work were feminist theory and deconstructionist theory.

ENG 550: The Semantics of Charlotte Perkins' Gilman's Stories
This was a presentation for my Intro to English Graduate Studies course taken with Dr. Rashmi Roy at SNHU in the October-December 2021 session. We were working with semantics. I chose the turn of the century American Feminist and writer Charlotte Perkins Gilman to focus on. I used four of her stories; "The Yellow Wallpaper", "The Cottagette", "Turned", and "Three Thanksgivings" for this short study on her style.

ENG 580 Final: Haunting with the Brontes Lesson Plan (Written Piece)
The final for my Gothic Horror Literature graduate level class taken with Dr. Halina Adams in Fall 2019 at Bridgewater State University. She wanted us to come up with a lesson plan and syllabus for a class we'd like to teach based on what we learned. I was fond of the Bronte sisters and because we read Jane Eyre in her class, I was able to do my final on the works of the Bronte sisters. So my hypothetical undergrad lit course was titled "Haunting with the Brontes". This is the best version of the project's write-up that I could find in my files. I will add the Power Point too later, if I can find it.
