I am a 22 year old first generation college student from Charlotte, NC. I am heavily involved on my college campus and have acquired many leadership roles over my 4 years. I was an academic tutor in a program called Saturday Academy affiliated with Americorp. I was president of a student service organization called Circle K for two years and am currently holding a position on the Carolinas District Board as of February 2017. I am currently a Resident Mentor and work a part-time job as a retail associate at Ross. I also participate in independent research with the Biology Department and received a Mini-Magellan research Grant to cover the cost of my current research project. My Career Goals include working in a lab geared towards discovery and/or modification of treatment plans related to new and re-emerging diseases.

Circle K International
One of the largest student-led collegiate community service organization in the world! Circle K International is the collegiate version of Kiwanis International. My responsibilities included: planning and leading club meetings, overseeing the agenda for each semester and helping plan events with other members of the board, and acting as a liaison between Circle K members and the Carolina's District Board for CKI.
