Lebanon Valley College Students Achieve Positive Scores on Putnam Exam
Seven Lebanon Valley College Mathematical Sciences students achieved positive scores on the Putnam Exam, the preeminent math competition at the college level for students in North America. Nearly 4,000 students from 470 institutions participated and had a median score of 10 and an average of 13. Jack Putnam and Nick Treadwell led the group with scores of 13. Austin Wright, Turner Hannon, Bryn Deibel, Sam Lawler, and Anna Moore also achieved positive scores.

Three Lebanon Valley College students and Dr. Elizabeth S. Sterner, assistant professor of chemistry, presented at the American Chemical Society's (ACS) national conference in New Orleans, La., in March.

LVC Students Co-Author Published Research
Two current Lebanon Valley College students and one alumnus are co-authors on published research with their professor. Dr. Valbona Hoxha, Assistant Professor of Biology, published "TBI and Tau Loss of Function Both Affect and Naive Ethanol Sensitivity in Drosophila." The paper, published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences, investigates the effects that ethanol has on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Lebanon Valley College Students Participate in European Union Simulation
Fourteen Lebanon Valley College students recently represented the College at the annual European Union (EU) Simulation parliamentary session in Washington, D.C. A culmination of the disciplinary perspectives course, DSP 380: "EU Simulation," the trip was organized by the colleges and universities of the Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation Consortium (MAEUSC).

Lebanon Valley College welcomed more than 30 legacy students to campus as part of the nearly 500 new students arriving to campus this fall. Legacy students - children of Lebanon Valley College graduates - receive a $2,500 scholarship each year.
