Nicholas Ashenfelter

Majored in Computer Science, Minored in Mathematics
Bloomsburg, a Commonwealth University, Class of 2020
From Chalfont, PA
I am a college student currently enrolled at Bloomsburg University majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Digital Forensics. I have been interested in pursuing a career in technology from an early age. My interest increased as I gained additional exposure to technology during high school while taking computer science and programming classes (JAVA, HTML). My academic studies are important to me and as a result I gained a partial academic scholarship from Bloomsburg University. My hobbies and interests include karate, gaming (both PC and consoles), and working out.

Based on my ability to learn quickly and proactively interact with customers while working at the cash registers, I was selected to be trained as a store monitor for the front of the store. This roll has responsibility for overseeing the cash register workers while also assisting customers to help them locate a specific item and/or check the price for an item. I have also been tasked with building product that is put on display in the store. While at college I have continued to work at Weis during my winter and summer breaks.
