As an intern at Barnett Wealth Advisors, I am responsible for different aspects of the wealth management business within the investment decision making on a daily basis. My duties include: • Data research and building valuation models for single stocks through Microsoft Excel. • The models include valuation of different models such as the Capital Asset Pricing Model, Dividend Discount Model, PRAT sustainable growth, Gordon Constant Dividend Growth, Discount Cash Flow analysis, etc. The model building also consists of reading financial statements of various companies, evaluating growth of revenue, income, dividends, assets, and equity. • Research individual equity positions for portfolio management. This includes reading annual reports, financial statements, evaluating potential risk involved with the position, upside, etc. • Present clients with the decision making process of the strategy pertaining to an individual position All my duties are overseen by a CFA, who guides me through the model construction, equity research and discussion, as well as any questions within the investment aspect of the wealth management business.

Members of the organization meet in a professional setting on a weekly basis in order to collect analyze economical data and how it translates into the financial markets.The organization also consists of a student-managed portfolio, in which we implement our investment strategy in order to maximize returns while minimizing risk. The VP of Investment Strategy's duties include: • Building models to valuate a single stock's intrinsic value by collecting historical data and analyzing growth in revenue, income, dividends, assets, and equity. • Creating and managing Excel Spreadsheets in order to facilitate data collection and analysis for equities • Analyzing risk related to investment opportunities in order to maximize returns on the individual equities. • Educating new members about different terms and skills such as ratios, key metrics, Excel proficiency, data analysis, among others. • Communicate with the association and faculty in regards of executive duties including weekly meetings, stock pitches, etc.
