May, 12 2021 - Verified by Eastern Mennonite UniversityI am board certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) for both adults and children, and currently provide in-home mental health skill-building services for adults living in the Winchester/Front Royal area. In January 2019 I will begin a four-month practicum with Crossroads, where I will be providing in-home services to at-risk children and their families.
I began my career at Northwestern CSB in April 1999 as a residential counselor at Chapin House, a group home for seriously mentally ill adults. After serving in that position for approximately 2.5 years, I moved into case management where I remained for nearly 16 years. During the last six months of my employment with NWCSB I served as Discharge Assistance Program Coordinator/Hospital Liaison, where I worked closely with the state hospitals and other CSB's in the region to coordinate for hospital discharges and manage appropriate state funding sources to support those clients in the community. I left NWCSB in October 2017 to pursue a master's degree.
