Robert Koenen

Robert is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater starting my major in marketing with sales emphasis. How businesses determine their target markets, connect with their customers and ultimately sell their products are of interested to me when choosing my major and thinking about future employment. My goal is to graduate in four years and start a job after in graduation. There are many values that shape Robert for current and future employment. Excitement and being competitive helps in the workforce as co-workers will see the positive energy and enthusiasm that is brought forward to any situation. Having that drive to win ultimately gives you that extra advantage against your opponents to whatever the situation may be and will push you to be successful. Whether it is a team project or a personal task, the company will know that they are getting full commitment and hard work from you and make them more comfortable and be able to create their own excitement to the task at hand and to their everyday lives. Being a dependable worker is one of the best traits a worker can have. Showing up to work every day and giving your best effort to better yourself and your company shows your dependability and creates a reputation for yourself and the company as a hardworking and caring company that would do anything for their customers. The most important thing for me as an employee is that I demand my best effort. Whether it is a new challenge or experience that may not be my cup of tea, it is important to try your best and give your best effort. Seek help, ask questions, and these challenges will only make you a better employee but also a better person. During his time here at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Robert will work to develop a wide variety of experiences, relationships, and knowledge that will help create his brand and prepare him for the future.
