I am going to be in my senior year as a Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies major at Assumption College with interests in special education, autism spectrum disorders, disability advocacy, public speaking, and case management. I am planning to go for my Masters of the Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling in the future, and I am thinking about being an autism services case manager or a case manager in the future as well. On April 14th, I shared my personal experiences with autism spectrum disorder and promoted ideas and solutions for advocacy for children and adults with ASD to 150 clinicians who work for the Central Massachusetts Special Education Collaborative program.

School Psychology- Undergraduate Intern at Central Tree Middle School
During my time at Central Tree Middle School, I worked with the school psychologist to help students work on IEP goals, especially those on the autism spectrum. In addition, I also did some classroom observations on specific students and addressed specific behaviors and concerns to the school psychologist that needed to be improved or worked on later on. In addition, I also helped the school psychologist develop a social skills curriculum for students on the autism spectrum and assisted her with the social skills group that met once a week to learn how to socialize with others in daily situations.

Over the past couple of years now I have shared my experiences with autism and have promoted autism and special education advocacy to various institutions within the Wachusett Regional School District, including the schools and all public safety stations among the five towns in the district which include Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, and Sterling, and I am currently continuing with this position.
