Susi Peterson

Member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
From Barrow, Alaska
Each chapter of life has been filled with meaning and purpose. This current one is about working as a public health nurse on the North Slope of Alaska, in the Wellness Center in Barrow as well as in the Kaktovik clinic on Barter Island, east of Prudhoe Bay. Im finding the work enjoyable and rewarding and the people gracious, friendly and intelligent people. Life is much simpler here with no waits in traffic, the ability to walk to work and to almost anywhere in the communities. Frequent plane rides makes life exciting and the weather is perfecthonestly cold on some days, but invigorating, creating a sense of adventure when stepping out the door. Some days are more beautiful than can be describedthe photos of the Alaskan skies arent exaggeratedit really is that beautiful here. Of course I miss my family, so am extremely grateful for the abundant vacation package that will make it possible for me to visit them on a regular basis = )
