Shao Chew

One of my biggest drives in pursuing my field is the hope of being able to help people, whether it be relieving a small amount of stress in their lives or something as grandiose as finding the cure for cancer. Having eczema and other dermatologic ailments, it only seemed right that I become a dermatologist. But, as you may have noticed, that isn't the case. The idea of taking the MCAT and attending med school just didn't resonate with me. Hence, I decided to do chemical engineering as it's a very versatile major that could take me anywhere. Currently, I'm open to exploring all the possibilities whether it be petroleum related all the way to pharmaceuticals. Even though I won't be able to directly help people, I can still apply math and science to make the world a better place.
