COLE PRIZE: Established through the gift of George Henry Walker, Class of 1881, in the memory of Charles Edward Cole, to recognize first-year students who show great ability in fiction or non-fiction writing. Runner-up for nonfiction piece written about going to India for the first time.

Selected T. Howard Foundation summer intern after rigurous selection process. The organization aims to diversify the media industry by increasing representation of students of color in newsrooms, fostering bonds between young professionals of color and offering ongoing guidance and support. • Selected to work at Discovery Communications out of a candidate pool of over 1,000 applicants • Participated in a three-day professional orientation in Silver Spring, MD with 68 other interns that consisted of numerous seminars such as networking, diversity and inclusion, multimedia, finance, and professional development workshops. • Elected as Social Events Connection Program (SECP) Chair for Washington, D.C. area. Responsibilities include organizing social events and building community among fellow T. Howard interns. •Served as Campus Ambassador during Fall 2016 Semester. Presented internship experience to students, distributed marketing materials, served as on-campus resource to help students through the application process.
