I am a college student at Cedarville University seeking a degree in History and planning to go on to graduate school and earn my Masters degree and Ph.D. so that I can teach at the university level. Due to my experience in volunteer positions, I have had opportunities to learn organizational skills and I have grown in my ability to manage and lead individuals and groups. I enjoy the challenge of academics in many areas, though history and economics are my true passions. I am currently seeking internships in both of these areas to increase my practical knowledge and understanding of these fields.

Academic Peer Coach at Cedarville University Academic Enrichment Center

An Academic Peer Coach serves one specific class, attending that class throughout a semester and serving its students. I have been required to hold an hour long, drop-in tutoring session each week to discuss course concepts and material with any students who have questions. Also, I present a review presentation roughly one-hour in length each week as well to give students the ability to hear again hard concepts from the course. In addition, giving general study tips and academic direction to students in the course over the course of the semester are part of this role.
