Syeda Akhtar

Syeda Akhtar graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Pre-Law International Affairs degree and double-minors in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies. During her time at the university, she was recognized as being in the top 1% of leaders and inducted as an honorary member to a National Honor Society for student leaders. Shortly after, Akhtar enlisted in the United States Air Force. After achieving the status of Thunderbolt in basic military training, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, she graduated from Personnel Apprenticeship Technical Training school at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. She served as a Customer Service Journeyman at her first duty station Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. As an airman, Akhtar served on the Junior Enlisted Advisory Council. Her accolades and achievements include the following: AF Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, and the AF Training Ribbon. In December 2019, she was awarded a graduate level certificate in Leadership and Management from the University of Maryland as Summa Cum Laude. In 2021, Ms. Akhtar earned a Masters of Science in Intelligence Management. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Liberty University. As a Federal Special Agent, she specializes in the protection of critical technology for a government entity of the United States. Ms. Akhtar aspires to lead her country as a guardian of her nation's assets within the ranks of Senior Intelligence Service and eventually retire as a civil servant.
