In early December 2017, WKCTC's 2018 physical therapist assistant graduating class donated a new skeleton to the PTA program to use in its kinesiology lab. The students paid for the skeleton themselves as a Christmas gift to the program! Awesome!Fall 2017
Ten West Kentucky Community and Technical College physical therapist assistant students attended the state conclave for the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association in Louisville October 1-2, 2016. The conference provides physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students networking opportunities and educational sessions on various topics.Fall 2016
Activities & Affiliations
Nursing and physical therapist assistant students from West Kentucky Community and Technical College worked with patients at the 2017 Purchase Area Diabetes Expo held at the McCracken County Extension office on October 28, 2017. Nursing students performed A1C (diabetes) tests and the PTA students performed foot screenings for peripheral neuropathy symptoms. Over 30 people were screened.
