I am a progressive health care leader with extensive experience along the care continuum. I greatly enjoy leading and collaborating with interprofessional teams and I navigate effectively through multiple competing priorities. I am strong in program growth and outcomes improvement. I am effective as a change agent or as a stabilizing force. My career focus has included acute as well as post-acute services, with emphasis on various facets of case management, clinical operations, compliance, and quality/performance improvement. Case management and clinical education are extremely rewarding to me, as they provoke all of my professional interests and provide challenges, which motivates me.

Regional Director of Case Management; Bed Control/Transfer Center; Clinical Education at St. Mary's Health Care System
The Case Management department includes utilization review, care coordination, and social work with specialty services of patient navigation, charge capture, & clinical auditing. Responsibilities also include leading the Bundled Payment Care Improvement (BPCI) & Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) programs. The Clinical Education department is very diverse and unique with the following services: disease-specific management programs including inpatient and outpatient services for diabetes, stroke, and heart failure; Continuing Medical Education (CME) program; clinical staff education and development. The Bed Control/Transfer Center covers patient logistics with admission coordination & bed management on a 24/7 basis for the primary hospital. Among multiple other state and national recognitions, St. Mary's received the Healthgrades 2016 America's 100 Best Hospitals Award. St. Mary's Health Care System is a non-profit Catholic health care system whose mission is to be a compassionate healing presence in the Georgia rural and urban communities that we serve, specializing in neuroscience/strokes, cardiac/chest pain center , orthopedics/joint replacements, women's and children's health and general medicine/general surgery. Our system includes multiple hospitals,center for acute inpatient rehabilitation, home health care, hospice services,and Alzheimer's/dementia care. St. Mary's holds multiple specialty certifications from the Joint Commission including: stroke, heart failure, inpatient diabetes, COPD, spine surgery, and two orthopedic joint replacement programs (hip and knee), and is chest pain center certified.

Since 2015, have served on the National ACMA's Chapter Advisory Council. In the Chapter Past-President role, serve as mentor for the chapter board leaders. As President of the Georgia chapter, responsibilities included: various types and levels of communication to National ACMA, Georgia Chapter ACMA Officers and Board Members-at-Large, and chapter members; oversight of chapter committees; budget planning and adherence; planning and orchestrating chapter conferences and other events in collaboration with National ACMA and chapter's education and conference planning committee; leading the ongoing development and progress of the chapter itself, and the board; and, directing chapter operations. October 2015, participated in national ACMA's annual Advocacy on Capitol Hill trip. This effort included 13 other ACMA representatives as we advocated for patients and heath care systems/professionals by meeting with lawmakers/offices in Washington DC, to discuss legislation relevant to case management.
