Tiffany Ramos

My name is Tiffany Ramos. I am of Dominican desent, but I am from Long Island, NY. I am the oldest of two. I am currently majoring in Biology pre-med/ Psychology and minoring in public health. I enjoy traveling, reading, dancing, singing, shopping, hanging out with my friends playing sports, meeting new people, spending time with my best friend (my mom), and helping others. I find that helping people both physically and mentally to be very rewarding. Therefore, in the immediate future I am hoping to become a doctor in physical/occupational therapy. I dislike when people are being discriminated against and underestimated. I am very driven to accomplish my goals.

I feel that I’m mindful of my decisions and that I’m a well-rounded individual. I’ve been given the freedom to explore the world in order to satisfy my curiosity toward all the wonderful things in the world around me and I plan to take advantage of this blessing and put it to good use. I just want to make a difference and set a good example for young women especially Latina girls to get educated and to be successful.I strongly believe that women are strong, smart, and bold. I feel that it doesn't matter where you come from it's where your going and remembering how and what you have been through to get where you are. This is why I want to be the change I want to see.
