February 24, 2017 Dear College of Technology Student: In recognition of your outstanding scholastic record, you have been nominated for membership in the Davenport University Chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), an academic honor society in the computing sciences. As Dean of the College of Technology and on behalf of Davenports UPE chapter adviser, Dr. Brian Kowalczk, it is my pleasure to extend to you this membership invitation. The mission of Upsilon Pi Epsilon is to recognize academic excellence in the Computing and Information Sciences. UPE was formed at Texas A&M University in 1967 as the sole honor society in the computing sciences. UPE is endorsed by the Association for Computing Machinery and the IEEE Computer Society. UPE is also a recognized member of the Association of College Honor Societies.
