I was 11 years old when I picked up a golf club for the first time. When I turned 17, I decided to put my education on hold and explore my passion for the game of golf. The year that ensued was by no means easy and after graduating from high school, I didnt have the comfort nor the benefits of attending a structured 4-year institution, like most of my peers. I spent my time in a training camp away from home where I followed a daily work routine from 6 am to 6 pm. I spent approximately three months that year, traveling to different cities within India and competing in national-level golf tournaments. I faced several hurdles, encountered unforeseen circumstances and was exposed to altering lifestyles. This experience and all my other life experiences have made me highly adaptable and resilient. My critical thinking skills were put to the test every time I have had to make a tough decision on the golf course. I developed a strong sense of self-discipline when I worked on my passions and adhered to my dynamic routine. Along the way, I made friends and met many interesting people whose knowledge and perspectives helped build my own. Now, I carry all these valuable experiences, skills, and perspectives as I attend DePauw University in my pursuit of a major in Economics and a career in the Financial Services Industry. - Coordinated & curated the Academic Insight Panel; convinced five professors to speak as panelists and prepared the moderators' questionnaire; formed a new mentor program to connect first-year management fellows with seniors
