Amy Cole

Majored in Art-Ma
University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Class of 2019
From Little Rock, AR
Managing the website and social media for a well-respected century-old organization is both rewarding and challenging - and I love it. Training my co-workers on how to best maintain their online presence is the primary way I stay on top of the ever-changing field of social media and online marketing. With over 15 years of experience in design, marketing and technology, I have acquired a myriad of skills including analytics management, personnel management, programming and design production coordination as well as client services/communication expertise. I often ask myself, "How can I help make our clients' digital experiences be memorable?" The answer, for me, lies in education and research. I have found that if I guide my career using proven, research based methods the results will be positive. In previous roles, I oversaw a wide range of projects from online and social media marketing to app development and online database construction. I coordinated with production staff and the clients directly to keep projects on time and under budget. I handled customer service issues, budget issues and kept my staff focused on quality customer care and project management efficiency. A later addition to my skill set was the role of Client Relations Specialist whereby the production staff was tasked with referring to me for my experience and guidance with regards to client relationship issues. I spearheaded strategies on how to help maintain and grow client relationships in a positive and productive manner. Specialties: Production team leader, Online marketing, Creative problem solving, graphic design, client relations manager, production management, budget and time management for large projects, overseer of production team and brainstorming marketing strategies across many media channels.

Digital Media Program Director at University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service
Currently I lead the internal website development team for the U of A Cooperative Extension Service. I help to coordinate content management best practices and oversee training of Extension employees on how to manage their pages on our website. Coordinating with outside/third party vendors, I make recommendations on new software to gather statistics on accessibility and web page statistics reporting. Presenting both classes and updates to our employees is an ongoing aspect of my job I greatly enjoy. Social media management is another important aspect of my role here at Extension and I help to create the best practice recommendations for both our program areas and county Extension agents. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and the ever-growing world of social media allow Extension to reach our clientele like never before. It is important we have a consistent message to all Arkansans. My experience with search engine optimization is an important skill I bring to the world of online marketing here at Extension, and I encourage our 500+ content contributors to our website to pay close attention to page titles, H1 tags and to craft their content not only for site visitors but also for Google and other search engines. The website is an ever-changing aspect of how we relate to our visitors and clients and I am proud to help spread the word about how the Cooperative Extension Service programs and specialists can help enrich the lives of Arkansans.
