Anthony de Marte

Anthony is a New York based artist whose first love is musical theatre. This love guided him towards the world of dance, when at the age of 14, he began his formal dance training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop techniques. Anthony is a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College, where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre and Dance. In the spring of 2017, Anthony was fortunate enough to study physical theatre at the Accademia dellArte in Arezzo, Italy. Favorite performance credits include LeFou in "Beauty and the Beast" with KJK Productions and Angie in "Gypsy" with Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre. Additionally, he has danced in works choreographed by Tiffany Mills, Shapiro & Smith, Shelley Oliver, Karen Dearborn, and more. In addition to performing, Anthony is a passionate choreographer, director, and performing arts educator. He has worked with KJK Productions for the past 7 years as a musical theatre teaching artist. He has choreographed musicals for Denise Simon's Summer in the Sanctuary series. He has choreographed two large group jazz dance pieces. The pieces, entitled Plain Gold Ring and Indigo Hour, were respectively performed at Teatro Virginian in Arezzo, Italy and Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, New York. Anthony is an avid list-maker, a television connoisseur, and a fervent lover of Cheez-Its.
