Antia Gonzalez Ben

I am a Ph.D. student in the department of curriculum and instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working under the supervision and advice of Prof. Julia E. Koza. Born and raised in Galicia, Spain, I earned a Bachelors in Music Education (09) and a Masters in Social Pedagogy (11) from the University of Santiago de Compostela. In 2011, sponsored by the Barrie de la Maza Foundation, I pursued a M.S. in curriculum and instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There, I specialized in issues of multicultural music education. Upon completing this program, I received a fellowship from the la Caixa Foundation to pursue a Ph.D. in the same area and institution.
