HostessApril 2017 - August 2017
During opening: assigning server sections for the day, setting up the patio if it was open that day, assigning server side work, making sure the host area was tidy, unlocking the doors.
Throughout the day: seating customers that came in, running food, bussing tables, wiping down and resetting tables, checking the bathroom every hour or half hour on busier days, making sure tables were being greeted by servers in a timely manner (and if the server couldn't the host would do it for them).
During the closing shift: wiping down highchairs and booster seats, making sure every table was reset, taking down the patio if it was up, wiping down the windows and doors, sweeping the lobby, changing the menus from dinner to lunch for the morning host, collecting all the checkbooks and cleaning them, checking the salt and pepper shakers, checking the bathroom for the night, and locking all the restaurant doors.
