Majoring in Kinesiology
Iowa State University
From Nevada, IA
I am a very involved and outgoing young woman with challenging, but attainable goals. I strive to do my best in everything that I do, whether it be at school, in the workplace, or just in my daily life. School is my biggest priority and I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health at the Iowa State University. Right now, I am taking courses in English, Psychology, Food Science and Human Nutrition, and Kinesiology - quite the spread. In addition to courses, you can find me on campus in the WiSE office and working in the Kinesiology research lab. WiSE - a department on campus dedicated to Women in Science and Engineering - is a place I connect with women and resources to help me succeed. I am transfer peer mentor for the community, meeting and check in with women that are new to Iowa State, but not new to the college experience. In the Kinesiology department, I help with various research studies and work closely with graduate students to explore the effects of exercise on mental health, chronic pain, and more! When I'm not on campus, I'm very active in my sorority. Serving on the executive board as Vice President of Intellectual Development, I spend a lot of time helping my women be successful academically. Academics are highly valued in Alpha Chi Omega. Outside of school, work, and sorority, I love spending time with my friends and family. I am very social and I thrive on human interaction and helping others! I look forward to connecting with you!
