Casey Lovell

Majoring in Marketing, Minoring in Analytics
Illinois Central College, Class of 2018
From Pekin, Ill.
I'm a 30 year old devoted husband and disabled Veteran of the United States Army. I was Medically Retired in November of 2015 and focused quickly on using my experiences and education in the military to start new experiences and continued education in the civilian world. As soon as I could get my wife and I established, I came to ICC seeking a chance to restart the experience of learning at a later age and so far it's been fantastic. While growing up in the Army with my father on Active Duty, I quickly ascertained the importance and dedication of a US Veteran, and, in my own attempt to contribute to a nation that made me who I am, I enlisted in 2012. While my time in the Army was short, I earned the rank of Sergeant as a 35T, or a Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator and deployed to Gardez, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013. My experiences prior to the Army created a mold that allowed the Army to shape me in to a successful Soldier - now that I have transitioned, I am excited to work with ICC to be successful as a civilian.
