I'm currently studying physics and math and playing volleyball at Kansas Wesleyan University. I'm planning on doing a duel degree program with Washington University in St. Louis where I'll earn another bachelors degree in Environmental, Energy, and Chemical Engineering. My goal right now is to look into how I can use engineering on the missions field. That's my ultimate end goal.

Samantha Chesser was recognized for earning a scholarship
The Eisenhower Scholars Program recognizes students who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to developing personal, intellectual and spiritual growth through a liberal studies curriculum in a faith-based educational environment.
The scholarship covers 90% tuition for each of four years of undergraduate study at KWU and is awarded to select incoming first-year students each year. Students had the opportunity to interview with two members of the KWU faculty, write an essay on a specific topic stemming from pre-assigned reading and participated in a problem-solving/logic activity.
The Eisenhower Scholarship is the highest scholarship available at Kansas Wesleyan University, and for the 2017-2018 academic year only two incoming freshman were awarded the prestigious award, Elie Truhe and Samantha Chesser.
