Cheniece Smith of Byram has been named a Hinds Community College Deans' Scholar for the Fall 2015 semester. Deans' Scholars are those students with a cumulative 3.5 to 3.9 grade point average.

The University of Alabama's International Honors Society with French Language. I tested in to being invited to apply, and I was immediately accepted in during the summer (Summer 2007) before my first semester (Fall 2007) upon submitting my application and being interviewed.

Cheniece Smith was recognized for enrolling
I received a Presidential Scholarship, for Academics and scholastic achievements. I undertook a Double Major course of study with Biology and Honors French Language in the International Honors Program. I also received credit and tested out of certain beginning college classes with test scores from high school education, and was able to proceed immediately onto more advanced classes without having to take the lower level ones during the very start of my education.
