In this position I work mostly unsupervised at the Front Desk of the Auxiliary Services Department at Hamilton College, located in the Bristol Center. I am the first point of contact for many visitors to campus seeking to stay at the Bristol Center's twelve-room hotel, attending various campus events, or looking to use the lounges and social spaces in the Bristol Center. In this position I - Assist students and campus employees with depositing money onto their campus accounts, replacing old or damaged Hill Cards (ID/campus debit cards) - Collaborate with 10-15 student workers to cover all 9am-9pm shifts - Log, update, and cancel reservations in our online database, in a physical reservation book that our Custodial staff refers to, and in paper copies that our guests use to check-in. - Weekly hours: 4-8 Skills gained: - interpersonal - phone and email etiquette, in-person - trustworthiness - communicating sensitive customer payment and identification information, handling cash for Hill Card deposits, unsupervised shifts
