Cierra Richards

Majoring in Associate Of Science
Owensboro Community and Technical College
From Lewisport, KY
Hello, my name is Cierra. I have a two year old daughter named Cambree. She was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at about one week old. Cystic fibrosis is a rare genetic disorder that affects your lungs, pancreas, sinuses, and a few other organs. After she was diagnosed is when I realized I really wanted to study something in the medical field. My love for forensic shows has led me to my dream goal, which is a pathologist assistant. A pathologist is a person that determines the cause of death in a sudden accident, like homicides or suicides. I plan on finishing my associate of science degree here at OCTC and then transferring to WKU-O and receiving my bachelors degree in biology. Then I hope to get accepted into the pathologist assistant program at Indiana University.

Sandwich Artist at Subway
Of course, I made customers their sandwiches. I also took care of the cashier position and swept, mopped, stocked, and cleaned multiple things. I was a closer in the back, which took care of dishes, made sure everything was sanitized and shut everything down before closing the store.
