September, 19 2019 - Verified by Georgia State University Led the functional analysis and production support team for the clients global remittance application. The application spanned 10 countries supporting both inward and outward remittances. The daily remittance valuation ranged around INR 20 crores. The application ran with 98% transactional accuracy and on-time performance.
Designed new algorithm to improve system performance by 35%. The algorithm spanned across multiple platforms such as Oracle database and a Java frontend. Also identified the business needs and performed fit gap analysis.
Handled complex financial activities such as reconciliations, international transfers, commission postings, and integrated reporting. Developed standardized query models for each helping save 25 minutes/execution.
Led the design of the data archival and system re-engineering process. This change helped speed up the system by 15% and reduced load on the main application servers by approx. 30%.
Developed a comprehensive production support handbook to guide future team members. This guide has become a project best practice and is used as a reference point for similar documentation.
Led the Out of balance conversion project, which dealt with integrating ground level telecom assets into the financial ERP system. Created highly complex algorithms, packages and DDL objects in order to achieve the conversion and also drive innovation into the project. The conversion was valued at USD $22 billion, and it was delivered with 0 post-production defects.
Handled the integration of two legacy systems with Oracle e-business suite. These legacy systems contained close to 25 million assets. This integration helped in reducing manual execution time by 45%. Also, setup processes and script suites to drive the legacy system into sunset and hence develop a modern system.
Served as a single point of contact for 4 enhancement projects, which were combined valued at USD $ 40 million dollars. Worked to ensure clear requirement understanding and end-to-end defect free delivery for each. All 4 projects were delivered within the timelines with minimal defects.
Worked on different releases such as conversions, enhancement requests, defect analysis and fixes, functional analysis and value addition requests, and on improving system performance through performance tuning.
Led the automation and value creation team (team size 5) within my project. Led the development of 12 reusable assets which led to savings of close to USD $1-2 million for the clients. Used various automation technologies such as Selenium, and OAF to develop the tools.
Led weekly requirement meetings and ensured clear documentation and developed a mechanism to ensure less follow-ups. Created multiple tracking templates which improved efficiency by 15% per execution. The templates were included in the project delivery toolkit as a best practice.
Mentored a team of 5 resources as part of the people initiative to prepare them for future leadership roles in the team.
Along with delivery work, looked into project management related activities such as maintaining the training tracker, tracking
and maintaining the Time sheet & reports of the team, driving Assets/Tools and reusable code. Developed a master tracker
to track various project management activities.
