Dwyer Freeman

Majored in German Language & Literature, Minored in Social Welfare; Social Innovation And Leadership
The University of Alabama, Class of 2018
From Haddonfield, NJ
I am a University of Alabama Fellow and Blackburn student with demonstrated passion for exploring new ideas, new places, and new relationships, yet committed to being fully present in each endeavor. Currently, I am working as a Team Leader for the UA Center for Service and Leadership. I'm driven by the wealth of knowledge communities have to offer, whether revealed through the local economies, public education systems, or interactions between citizens. How can inequalities be addressed in a constructive and inclusive manner, in order to create a more productive society? I'm passionate about the intersection of formalized education and liberation, especially when used to engage with the contexts behind current events. Thus, I am looking to explore relationships between communities and citizens while working towards a terminal (and interdisciplinary!) degree in the process.
