Installation and maintenance of telephone systems, and PC hardware and software in a networked environment. Detect and correct technical problems with tele-data communications and networked PC hardware and software. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public Installs, maintains, repairs and upgrades copper and fiber optic structured cabling for the campus telecommunications infrastructure; provide guidance to other telecommunication technicians; plans and organizes tasks and advises supervisor on progress. Installs and supports tele-data communications equipment; detects and corrects problems with the data/voice network and equipment. Installs and configures hardware and software on networked computers and other networked devices. Monitors data/voice network utilizations and assists in the planning to meet growth requirements; assists in the development of growth management plans.
