Elizabeth Biddlecome

Rochester Institute of Technology, Class of 2020
From Richmond, CA
I have over 15 years of experience as a consultant in devising innovative technical solutions for small to medium enterprise needs. I am devoted to creatively and effectively solving problems in order to create a satisfying client and user experience. Throughout my career as a full stack software engineer, my enthusiasm for architecture, security, and server-side programming has driven my ability to architect robust applications. Craftsmanship is critical to my work. Information Security is a deep passion of mine; particularly with regard to security research and penetration testing. I enjoy contributing as a core member of my award-winning team in local and national cybersecurity competitions. This enthusiasm for security, combined with my experience as a software engineer, has helped me to become an effective application and systems auditor. My experience with Scrum and project management has helped to launch several successful businesses and products. As a director at one Fortune Global 500 client remarked, she is a good dot-connector, and has a great ability to take an idea from concept to reality in a short time. As a dedicated educator, I teach technical skills to both professionals and students. For corporate clients, I work with everyone from engineers to executives in order to educate staff regarding implementation of policies to ensure best practices. Code reviews and security audits are delivered with detailed documentation and personal instruction; that way, company employees and executives are able to remediate and prevent problems efficiently. I'm proud to work with CCSF and MissionBit in San Francisco public schools to bring tech training to San Francisco youths. I support MissionBit's goal to close the tech divide via mentoring the next generation of engineers, software developers, project managers, and security professionals in their career pursuits, with a focus on underrepresented minority and economically disadvantaged students.
