As an instructor, my primary responsibility is to provide a quality education to the students who are enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Program. This responsibility requires building of courses and course content in our LMS, Blackboard and providing a didactic learning environment. Along with the role of lead instructor, I am tasked with the role of clinical coordinator. This includes facilitating and staffing the on campus veterinary clinic which primarily focuses on preventative medicine at low costs for the college community. Along with coordinating the veterinary clinic in the spring and fall semesters, I am also tasked with scheduling and coordinating the surgical clinics, maintain a quality standard of care and follow up for all surgical patients. This includes maintaining relationships with local rescues who receive free spays and neuters through this program.
