Gage Bolden

The Citadel, Class of 2017
From North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Although I have not held many jobs, I do have quite a bit of military experience. From the beginning of my 7th grade year, I have lived in a military environment. The reason being is because I chose to attend a College Prep school by the name of Riverside Military Academy. During my time there, I rose through the ranks, holding many leadership positions. My Junior year I was the school's CSM (Command Sergeant Major). This position entitled me to overlook the everyday schedule and well-being of the academy. I was mainly responsible for the health and accountability of nearly 500 cadets. My senior year, I held the second highest rank on campus, the Battalion Executive Officer. In this position, I was directly in charge of the staff which controlled the daily operations of the corps of cadets. During the summer between my Junior and Senior year, I was able to intern for Congressman Michael Grimm. Ultimately doing non stop "Guinea Pig" work and eventually answer calls from constituents. I recorded the thoughts of the constituents and passed them along to the Congressman's staff through a series of computer programs. After graduating from Riverside, I worked for a Times Share Management company by the name of Defender Resorts. I then began to work maintinance for one of the resorts in the area. I was much needed as I would rebuild and paint walls and buildings. And at some points, redo a ceiling due to a leak. I plan on graduating from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina with hopes of attending Law school at the University of South Carolina.
